This listing is the 1:4 scale — approx. 625mm / 24.6 in tall, 609mm / 24.0 in wide and 367.5mm / 14.5 in deep, including the rock base. Vader mid-stride on a jagged, molten rock outcrop, cape swept out behind him — a genuinely large, dense centrepiece. Want him even bigger? Larger scales can be arranged — message me before ordering.

— THE CRAFT & THE FINISH —
At 1:4 scale, resin printing isn't practical — so Vader is printed on FDM and then meticulously hand-finished: sanding, filling and smoothing, using techniques I've refined to get as close to a resin-quality surface as possible at this size. A dynamic pose like this — cape mid-motion, weight on one leg, an outstretched arm — is genuinely hard to pull off well at scale, and it's where my time and skill go.

The whole piece — Vader, the cape and the rock base alike — prints in your choice of matte Grey or matte Black PLA. Planning to paint the full look yourself, right down to the armour and the glowing saber? Grey is your best starting point — neutral, takes primer and paint beautifully. Want him closer to screen-accurate the moment he's off the printer? Black already suits the armour and the rock base straight out of the box.

A NOTE ON COLOUR — WHAT YOU RECEIVE: the glowing lava, the coloured rim lighting and the deep black armour you see in the promotional renders are part of the concept artwork — a mix of studio lighting and paint. Your kit ships RAW and UNPAINTED in your chosen matte PLA colour (Grey or Black), a clean surface that primes and paints beautifully either way. The fine armour detailing, the glowing red saber and the molten base are yours to bring to life with a brush. The render shows what's possible; the kit is your starting point to get there.

Being upfront: this is a handmade, hand-finished print, not a factory-moulded product. It won't be flawless — you may spot faint layer texture in places or a small imperfection here or there. That's the honest nature of a large-format print finished by hand, and it's part of what makes it a piece YOU complete and make your own. What you're assured of is care, dedication, and a quality you won't find from most others working at this scale.

⚠️ CARE — INDOOR DISPLAY PIECE
This is a PLA print, made for indoor display. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, heat and hot cars — PLA can soften or warp with extended sun and high temperatures over time. Treat it as the indoor centrepiece it's built to be and it'll hold beautifully for years.

— BUILDING YOUR VADER —
This is a hands-on kit for makers. Prime, paint and assemble Vader into a finished centrepiece that's truly your own — including bringing the armour, the saber glow and the molten rock base to life with paint. A little light sanding and gap-filling helps the parts seat snugly; glue them together after priming/painting and once fully dry (super glue / CA glue works well). Always prime before painting for the best result.
